​Conference on Education Under Theme "Partners in Excellence" To Kick Off Saturday

(QNA) - Under the Patronage of H.E. the Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al-Thani, who is also the chairman of the Supreme Education Council (SEC), the first four-day Conference on Education 2015, organized by SEC in cooperation and coordination with the Faculty of Education at Qatar University under the theme "partners in excellence" will start on Saturday at Qatar National Convention Centre.

Bahraini Minister of Education, Dr. Majid bin Ali Al-Nuaimi and his accompanying delegation arrived today in Doha to attend the conference.

Al-Nuaimi was greeted upon arrival by HE the Minister of Education and Higher Education and Secretary General of the Supreme Education Council (SEC), Dr. Mohammad bin Abdul Wahed Al-Hammadi and a number of Senior SEC Officials.

Dr. Ali bin Abdul Khaliq Al Qarni, Director-General of Arab Bureau of Education for the Gulf States also arrived in Doha to attend the Conference. The rest of the participating delegations are expected to arrive later.

More than 200 private and independent schools along with 300 high-level Gulf , Arab and international educational and academic delegations will take part in the conference.

The conference will discuss a number of topics such as axis of education reform, educational leadership between theory and practice, leadership and policies of education, learning, policy and educational issues, in addition to the development of education , research, evaluation, curricula, practice of different growth stages and contemplative practices.

Gulf senior educators and academics in the education and learning field will attend the opening session of the conference along with representatives of specialized international and regional organizations in the areas of research and education, principals of independent and Arab private schools, teachers, students, parents and representatives of the media.

The 7th annual Student Research and Creative Activity Fair will be held during the conference with the participation of 64 independent and private schools which will present researches in scientific and literary fields.
