​Omani Delegation Reviews Education Projects in Qatar

A delegation from Oman is visiting Doha to review the projects of the Ministry of Education and Higher Education and its educational initiatives.

In this context, Assistant Undersecretary for Educational Affairs at the Ministry of Education and Higher Education Mrs. Fawzia Abdulaziz Al-Khater met with the delegation members and assured them of the ministry’s keenness to help them achieve their desired goals during their visit to Qatar. The delegation would be briefed on the ministry’s plans, projects and initiatives and visit several schools in the country.

During the meeting, the delegation was briefed on the project of the Academy of Science and Technology, scheduled to be opened in the academic year 2018/2019, and its objectives. 

The ministry recently announced the start of the project. The delegation was also briefed on the STEM education system and how to employ science, mathematics, engineering and technology in this modern educational system.

In two separate meetings with the Private Schools Department and Planning and Quality Department, the Omani educational delegation also referred to the attention paid by the Ministry of Education and Higher Education to special education and the methods of evaluating institutional performance as well as the evaluation of private and government schools in Qatar.

During the three-day visit, the Omani educational delegation headed by Jokha Al-Mahrouqi, and comprising 12 members of the directors, owners and teachers of private schools in the Sultanate, will tour a number of private schools in Qatar.
