Mandatory Education Platform (Visa Services)

The Mandatory Education Platform (Visa Services) is an online system enabling parents to register their children holding family visas convertible to residency, aged between 6 and 18 years (compulsory education age), in government or private schools or to verify their educational status outside Qatar.

The platform provides three main services:

  1. Registration in private schools.
  2. Registration in government schools.
  3. Verification of educational status (outside Qatar).

Parents are responsible for ensuring the accuracy of the information and documents submitted with any application to avoid legal accountability for incorrect information.

Educational Status Verification

  • Service Description:

This service allows students in the process of issuing family visas (convertible to residency) for Qatar to verify their educational status by providing evidence of studying abroad or valid medical reasons preventing them from studying.

  • Parental Responsibilities:

Parents must submit documentation proving the student's educational status.

  • Review Process:

All submitted applications will be reviewed by a specialized committee, and parents will be contacted for additional information or clarification if needed.

  • Accountability:
Parents must ensure the accuracy of the data and documents submitted to avoid legal consequences for any incorrect information provided.

Registration in Private Schools

  • The service lists all children required to be enrolled in private schools, and parents must submit a separate online application for each child.
  • The system displays private schools with available seats based on the parent’s preferences. If no seats are available, parents must adjust their preferences and search again.
  • Parents can access the schools' websites, which are displayed next to the school names, to review all relevant details, including tuition fees and study conditions.
  • After submitting the application, the selected school's team will review it. If any remarks arise, inquiries will be sent to the parent.
  • Once the application is approved and no issues are raised, the school will contact the parent to schedule an interview for the student. Upon successful completion, parents may be required to pay registration fees per the school's policy.
  • After meeting all requirements, the student’s enrolment will be finalized electronically.
  • Parents may only submit one application at a time. If rejected, they may reapply to a different school.
  • Parents must adhere to the selected school for enrolment. Any transfer requests after obtaining the student’s Qatari ID must follow these guidelines:
    • Transfers between different curricula are allowed until the end of January of the academic year.
    • Transfers within the same curriculum are allowed until the end of February of the academic year.
  • For international private school registrations:
    • Parents must attach an officially approved academic certificate from the relevant authorities for the last grade completed (Grades 2 to 13).
    • For mid-year registrations, parents must attach an approved certificate for the first semester from the school.
  • For private schools following Qatar’s national standards:
    • Parents will be directed to apply for a certificate equivalency from the Student Information Center (Grades 2 to 12) before completing the registration process.

Registration in Government Schools

  • Parents working in the government sector are not required to register their children via this platform; the Ministry of Education and Higher Education will handle the registration process based on available vacancies and admission criteria.
  • Parents working in the private sector may apply to register their children (ages 6–18) holding convertible family visas in government schools in remote areas, subject to seat availability.
  • Admission of non-Arabic-speaking students from this category is allowed upon passing the Arabic language test. Based on test results, students will be enrolled in remedial Arabic language programs, adhering to the following conditions:
    • Availability of seats without exceeding class capacity.
    • A notarized rental contract of the parent’s residence.
    • Transfers to government schools in Doha or other urban areas are not permitted.
