The Ministry of Education and Higher Education announced the opening of registration for government scholarship programmes for the 2025-2026 academic year, calling on Qatari students who have successfully completed their high school diploma and other target groups to take advantage of the unique opportunities offered by this year's plan.

The plan includes three main programmes, namely, the Amiri Scholarship Programme, the Abroad Scholarship Programme, and the Local Scholarship Programme (including the Tomouh Program). Such programmes are designed to meet Qatari students’ educational needs across various academic levels and expand their future horizons through diverse academic disciplines both within the country and abroad.

The Amiri Scholarship Programme is one of the most prominent scholarship programs. It provides scholarships to outstanding students with the highest grades in high school in the top-ranking 24 universities worldwide, in addition to five local universities on the approved scholarship lists. The program focuses on vital disciplines such as medicine and engineering, promoting the development of national human capital.

In recognition of outstanding students, the Ministry has dedicated a special programme for the top ten students in high school in the science and humanities tracks, in addition to top students in the specialized tracks. This programme grants such students additional benefits to encourage their continued excellence at the university level.
