Private Education Centers are those that offer a wide array of educational training to support students with their academic learning.
There is many private education centers across Qatar. They mainly offer management training, foreign languages, remedial classes, ICT, programmes for people with special needs, visual arts, and mental sports classes.
The Ministry sets strict standards for those centers to follow to ensure the delivery of high-quality education services.
As per the ministerial laws and decisions regulating the process of granting educational and training center licenses, the Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MOEHE) sets strict standards and requirements to ensure the quality of education services provided.
The MOEHE's Education Centers Department is responsible for the oversight of the educational and training centers operating in the country. It provides effective support and guidance to private education sector investors at all business stages to help them operate smoothly. Also, it explains all business requirements to the investors, offers consultation and facilitate correspondence with the concerned authorities. The department spares no effort to help the investors offer high-quality education services to the Qatari community.

Qatari students who attend a licensed K-12 private school in Qatar are eligible for an educational voucher from the government. The value of the voucher is QAR 28,000. It is paid in two installments – one for each semester. The first payment is made one month into the start of the academic year whereas the second is made in January.
To receive a voucher, the student must be accepted by the school, provide a letter from one of her/his parents stating that none of the parents receive any educational allowance from their workplace.

Licensing Private Schools
The Ministry licenses private schools and pre-schools according to the provisions of Law No. 23 of 2015
The Ministry has also issued detailed bylaws outlining the setup requirements for potential private school operators.Investors can apply for private school licenses in November and December of each year through the school registration portal.
