The list of new universities by disciplines, which is updated every two years, is designed to promote opportunities of excellence, expand student choices, meet best international quality standards, ensure highest standards of higher education outputs in Qatar, and inform students, parents and those interested in the educational process of the universities students enroll in. Furthermore, the list shows disciplines and advantages of such universities, and facilitates the process for students to enroll and compete in such universities. This is to meet the labor market needs in the country and provide it with qualitative disciplines in line with Qatar National Vision 2030, which relies heavily on the educational system to meet its goals.
