Overview of the Department of Vocational, Technical and Specialized Education:

 

The Department of Vocational, Technical and Specialized Education is one of the departments created in accordance with the new organizational structure and operates under the supervision of the Education Affairs Sector.

 

The newly created Vocational, Technical and Specialized Education Department is responsible for proposing many policies, programs, and plans for vocational, technical, and specialized education, among others.

 

The Vocational, Technical and Specialized Education Department is responsible for the following:

 

1- Proposing policies, programs, and plans for vocational, technical, and specialized education in coordination with the concerned administrative units and following up on their implementation after their adoption.

 

2- Studying the country's needs for vocational, technical, and specialized education institutions.

 

3- Designing and defining educational plans, curricula, and evaluation policies for vocational, technical, and specialized education according to the needs of the country in coordination with the concerned administrative units.

 

4- Providing guidance to vocational, technical, and specialized education institutions in accordance with approved policies and plans to ensure the achievement of educational quality standards.

 

5- Supervise vocational, technical, and specialized education institutions, ensure their compliance with laws, and submit periodic reports thereon.

 

6- Proposing training programs in the field of vocational, technical, and specialized education in coordination with the competent administrative unit.
